Our Animal Caregivers
I've always had an unexplainable connection and love for animals. My mom always says that I never met an animal that didn't like me or vice versa. I've had animals around me my entire life. This is the first time I've worked in a veterinarian's office. I have worked in a boarding kennel in Phoenix for almost 2 years. I've primarily lived in Phoenix most of my life, but since my dad was in the army, I've also lived in Germany, Maryland and New York. I just recently moved to Prescott Valley. Growing up, my path took me towards the arts mostly. It wasn't until I was an adult that I realized that working with animals is my calling. I currently have 6 dogs, 2 cats and a snake. They are my babies! I can't wait to see what my future unfolds.
I am an Arizona native. I started working at Kachina in 2014. I have always been an animal lover since I was little. I grew up around all sorts of animals (horses, pigs, cows, goats, chickens, dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets) I have 1 dog and 3 children. In my spare time I like to be outdoors mostly, fishing, hiking, being around family and friends, road trips.
I was born in California, but raised in Chino Valley since I was 6 years old. Chino Valley will forever be a place I call home. I have 4 siblings who I love dearly! One up in heaven watching down on us, one older sister, one older brother, and one younger brother. I have 2 dogs of my own, “Gunner” who is a Pitbull/Bull Mastiff mix, and “Nismo” who is a Siberian Husky. They are my babies! I am happily engaged and soon to be Mrs. Florence in the upcoming year. I have always had a passion for animals of any size, shape and breed! I hope to further my career as a Vet Tech and Boarding is a great place to start! If for some reason I can not become a Vet Tech, I would love to become a Kindergarten Teacher. Follow your dreams, do what you love, and life will be amazing!

Hi! I'm Sativa!
It's been since March 2016 that I've been part of the Kachina team.
My dream has always been to work with animals. But, I feared I wouldn't be able to because, I kind of wear my heart on my sleeve! Then, I found Sir Lancelot, Lance, Lacey-poo! He was in the K-Mart parking lot, hidden away from the other pups being given away. One look at this poor, malnourished, lifeless puppy, my sisters and I said "we want him!' (Though, my mother had already said no! =D) Everyone, even the Vet, didn't think he would make it... Lance is now 7 years and 70 LB Rotti-mix who believes he's a lap dog! I'm his person...
Having such an open heart, especially when it comes to animals in need, was the strength and passion I needed to work at Kachina Animal Hospital! This great group of people showed me how beautifully rewarding it is to be able to help. If I'm not around the animals, you'll find me enjoying the simple life with my family and friends. I'm a small girl in a very big world, awaiting the journey life is taking me. Live, Love, Laugh. ~Sativa
Hello! My name is Sharon and I have been an Animal Caregiver here at Kachina Animal Hospital since July 2016. I am originally from Phoenix, but I've lived in the Prescott area most of my life. My passion for animals began at an early age and it wasn't long before I knew I wanted to pursue a career in the veterinary field. One of my many future goals is to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my Husky Mix, Shadow, and my Blue Heller Mix, Finn. I can't wait to see how my future unfolds with the Kachina family.
